Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he would “love” to have Cristiano Ronaldo in his star-studded side, though, says he is happy with the current attackers at his disposal.
The Real Madrid forward has been linked with the French giants in recent months, but the former AC Milan coach cooled talk of bringing the Portuguese talent to Paris, insisting he is happy with the current crop of stars available.
“Ronaldo in my team? Why not? Who wouldn’t love have to him?” Ancelotti told reporters light-heartedly, adding, he is “happy with the attackers at [his] disposal.”
The 53-year-old has worked with an array of world-class talent throughout his managerial career but concedes not signing Roberto Baggio whilst at Parma because the forward “did not fit the system” is a decision which he regrets to this day.
“When I arrived in Parma I had the opportunity to sign Baggio,” the Champions League winner revealed.
“But I did not do it. His game did not suit the tactics system I had set up, but it was a mistake. If I had the chance again, I would have told him to come and we would have talked tactics after.”
