The Bosnia-Herzegovina international was full of praise for the Napoli striker, who has found the back of the net eight times in the Italian top flight so far this season

Roma striker Edin Dzeko has named Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain as Serie A’s most dangerous player, with fellow Bosnian Miralem Pjanic also rated amongst the league’s best.

Speaking ahead of the Giallorossi’s big clash with Inter, the striker admitted Saturday’s opponents are in the mix for the Serie A title, but feels Napoli have the strongest squad if they can stay injury free.

“There are several top players, but Higuain in the best,” Dzeko told Gazzetta. “He and Pjanic are the best players in Serie A, but Inter have a deep squad so they have plenty of options.

“Roma might be top at the moment, but it’s a long season. What matters most is who is top at the end of it. There are no favourites – we are in the mix along with Inter, Napoli, Fiorentina and Juventus. Juve are a good side, they’ll bounce back.”

Looking ahead to Saturday’s clash, the striker was asked who he would take out of Inter’s squad if he had the chance.

“Can I take a few?” he joked. “Stevan Jovetic, he’s a great player. And Mauro Icardi. Stevan is a star and I’m happy he’s doing well. I wish him all the best… after our clash on Saturday!”
