Barcelona extended their lead at the top of the Primera Division table at the weekend as the Catalans thrashed Getafe 6-1 and saw second-placed Atletico Madrid lose in a local deby at Rayo Vallecano.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid produced an emphatic 4-1 win over Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu, fourth-placed Malaga triumphed 2-1 at Levante and Valencia moved up to fifth with a last-gasp victory at Celta Vigo.
