Napoli medic Vincenzo Mirone said it will be ‘difficult to organise the away trip’ to play Juventus on Sunday, due to the necessary swab tests for coronavirus.
The Azzurri are currently going through tests for COVID-19 after the 6-0 win against Genoa last weekend, as the Grifoni confirmed 14 cases in the matchday group.
Mirone, the scientific manager of the medical consultation and creening through COVID-19 swabs for the staff and players at Napoli, spoke to Radio Marte.
“Our colleagues are going to Castel Volturno and we will receive the answers to this first round of swabs tomorrow,” he said. “Friday we will have another round of tests, with answers on Saturday.
“I haven’t heard from [Doctor Raffaele] Canonico, but the concern is considerable, during the game there were situations where players went face to face, like between [Victor] Osimhen and [Andrea] Masiello.
“By having the answers on Saturday, it will be difficult to organise the away game at Juventus.”
