The strong defender, who will miss the return due to suspension, has stressed that Galatasaray should not be underestimated
Sergio Ramos has warned that Real Madrid cannot afford to get complacent as they are gunning for Champions League and Copa del Rey glory.
The Santiago Bernabeu side recorded a 3-0 win over Galatasaray in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie but Ramos has insisted that they are not there just yet.
“We can’t set off the fireworks just yet because we haven’t achieved anything yet,” Ramos was quoted as saying on the official Uefa website.
“Facing Galatasaray is the opposite of a lucky draw. They have knocked out teams who were perhaps perceived as favourites. They’re a strong side.
“So we must keep putting in the same amount of work and concentration. We want to finish the season by experiencing victories and above all by winning trophies.”
Tuesday’s return at the Turk Telekom Arena is scheduled to kic- off at 20:45CET.
