Jose Mourinho is apparently eyeing Tottenham Hotspur as his next managerial job should Mauricio Pochettino exit north London.

Tottenham have had a torrid start to the 2019/20 season and Pochettino has found himself under huge pressure amid Spurs’ struggle for form.
Mourinho’s interest in both positions has been a subject of the gossip columns for several weeks. However, according to The Sun, London-based Mourinho would be particularly interested in taking over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and may even decline a potential job in Madrid in order to seal a move back to the Premier League.
The Sun’s ‘exclusive’ claims Mourinho has apparently ‘told friends’ that he is confident of securing the job at the Bernabeu, if Zidane were to leave and it would be his second stint in charge of Los Blancos.
Real Madrid have had a difficult start to the season, much like Spurs, and Zidane has come under severe criticism for the results and performances his team have had. Mourinho has been linked with taking over for several months, and it seems that as pressure compiles on Zidane, the rumours grow stronger.
However, it appears that Mourinho would be more interested in taking over at Tottenham.
Spurs have had a significant fallout following last year’s Champions League final defeat to Liverpool and Pochettino’s days in charge may be numbered. However, options for replacing the Argentine may be few and far between.
Tottenham sit 14th in the Premier League table and have failed to win a league match since 28 September.
