Italian sport papers hit out at Andrea Pirlo’s ‘confused’ Juventus with only a few Bianconeri who get a passing grade after their away draw at Benevento.
Wojciech Szczęsny, Matthijs de Ligt, Danilo, Federico Chiesa and Alvaro Morata are the only Juventus players who get a passing grade (at least 6) in each one of Italy’s three main sport papers.
Paulo Dybala is once again one of the worst players on the pitch.
The Argentinean missed a clear-cut chance in the first half with the Old Lady that were already leading 1-0.
Dejan Kulusevski, Arthur and Aaron Ramsey did also fail to impress.
La Gazzetta dello Sport writes Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus seemed ‘confused’ and rate the Italian coach 5. “Juventus have nothing of his intelligence. In Benevento there wasn’t the idea of a team,” writes Il Corriere dello Sport.
On the other hand, his former teammate Filippo Inzaghi is being praised by media. “A tactical masterpiece to nullify Rabiot,” comments Il Corriere dello Sport.
“Benevento do not only have character,” writes La Gazzetta.
“The team was balanced and compact with tight lines and outstanding ductility in roles.”
