Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo has praised Alvaro Morata, who has impressed after returning to the Allianz Stadium in October.
The Atletico Madrid loanee moved back to the Bianconeri on transfer deadline day, after having already spent two seasons between 2014 and 2016 in Turin.
Since his return on loan with an option to buy, Morata has scored six goals in eight competitive games and reclaimed his place at Spain.
Pirlo, who replaced Maurizio Sarri at the helm of the Old Lady over the summer, said he knew the 28-year-old’s value and how to treat the former Real Madrid and Chelsea forward.
“He’s a great player, that’s why we brought him here,” Pirlo said at a press conference. “He has regained the confidence and continuity he lacked in London and Madrid.
“We know his value and we hold him tight and pamper him.”
Juventus face Cagliari tomorrow and Morata is expected to be in the starting line-up for the sixth time in 2020-21.
