The draw for the last 16 of the Champions League will take place on Monday, December 14 at 11.00 UK time. Juventus won Group G and Lazio finished runners-up in Group F. Take a look at their possible opponents.
Juventus and Lazio have already secured themselves a place among Europe’s best 16 clubs. Juventus have won the Group G ahead of Barcelona, while Lazio finished second behind Borussia Dortmund in Group F.
Inter and Atalanta play the final game of their group stage this evening. Antonio Conte’s side need a win against Shakhtar and hope Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach don’t draw, while a draw in Amsterdam against Ajax would be enough for La Dea to go through.
Lazio’s possible opponents so far are Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. PSG can win the Group H if they beat Istanbul Basaksehir this evening while anyone between Borussia Monchengladbach, Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid can win the Group B.
Juventus’ possible opponents so far are Porto and Sevilla, either Atletico Madrid or RB Salzburg can qualify as runners-up in Group A and the same is true of Atalanta and Ajax in Group D and RB Leipzig and PSG in group H. If Atalanta qualify, they can’t face Juventus as no team can play a club from their own association in the next stage of the competition.
