Valencia ready for Madrid triple-header, says Soldado

Robert Soldado has declared Valencia ready to continue their fine form in their upcoming trio of fixtures with Real Madrid.

The Spain international grabbed two goals against Sevilla this weekend to take his tally up to 11 for the Liga season.

Valencia’s league clash with Real Madrid at the Mestalla comes in between the two legs of their Copa del Rey quarter-final, with the team seeming to be hitting their best form of the campaign.

“We are ready for those three games, and we will try to make things difficult because our form is now very good,” Soldado told reporters.

Since the appointment of Ernesto Valverde as coach on the December 3, Valencia have won seven of their past eight matches in all competitions, and Soldado has found the back of the net six times in that run.

Soldado came through the ranks at Madrid as a youngster, but only made 16 appearances for the senior side before leaving the club permanently in 2008.

The triple-header of clashes against the reigning Liga champions are on January 15, 20 and 23.
